Frequently asked questions

Is a sworn translation accepted throughout Brazil?

Yes. A sworn (public) translation carries public faith and is valid nationwide before any authority.

Do I need a Brazilian sworn translation or one from the destination country?

It depends on where the document will be used. For use in Brazil, a Brazilian sworn (juramentada) translation applies. For use abroad, many countries require a translation by an official translator of the destination itself — for example NAATI in Australia, or a sworn translator in Germany, France, Spain or Italy. We handle both.

What is the difference between sworn and certified?

Sworn translation is done by a public translator for official use in Brazil; certified translation comes with a certificate of accuracy, more common for use abroad (USA, UK, Canada).

Do you deliver a physical copy?

Yes. We deliver the digital version instantly and ship a physical copy anywhere when required.
